Here is another site. The Library Thing... what they call the largest book club on the planet. This site is complete with metadata and syndication, connecting those who love to read. Note, there is a large group of graduate students learning on this site.

This looks like it would be a great resource for researchers who are sick of looking in confusing library catalogs!
This is such an interesting site! Sometimes I think that students could almost use a website like this easier than an actual library. It says there are over 18 million books on here! A person can blog, talk, search, chat, become a member and more. There is also a part of the site called the "Zeitgeist" which lists the "tops" of everything -- authors, books, etc. It's a great resource when students are unable to make a choice of literature.
Library Catalog also connects people by the books they read. For example, if I like Harry Potter, I can easily get connected with others who do as well! It has a lot of great resources and I've been using it! Thank you so much! :)
